Chateau “Les Egrignes” in Cult was one of the highlights of our 1 month trip, staying in small inns in France and N. Italy. Owners are Fabienne and Roland; they are great! This was a truly outstanding experience. Our rooms were just lovely, so much thought put in to the decor and comfort. And our evening meal was brilliantly cooked, with plenty of emphasis on 'bio' so that we slept well afterwards. Breakfast was a feast. And the occasional and discrete company of our hosts, who spoke English well, added to the general conviviality. We especially appreciated the warm rooms, which included the lighting of a beautiful traditional stove in the dining room, on a cold winter's night. The cost for two, including dinner, was 130 euros. more
