I feel this hotel is overpriced. It is close to The Mont and we requested the room with a view, which was nice. The room is older. The hotel is a bit noisey. Music late at night and footsteps from the room above. It has a nice location, 8 km from the mont with green grassy fields. The restaurant is... More

This is a timeless sort of place, so the fact that I stayed here nearly 30 years ago may not matter much, especially as I read the other reviews written recently. If you're looking for modern conveniences, top notch service or impeccable mattresses and amenities, then you probably won't enjoy this old world wonder. I was in my early 20's... More

While the location is peaceful, the hotel is old and worn out. When we visited in September, 2012, the restaurant was closed at night. Our room was very small and the bed not very comfortable. If you're going to stay over night, stay in one of the newer hotels near Mont St. Michel. But I wouldn't bother staying, or even... More

This is a wonderfully quiet location. The Mont lies far in the distance. There are cows across a small road. Postcard perfect from a distance. But then there is the hotel. The room we had (the most expensive by the way) was like a worn-out Holiday Inn. Kids spied spiders immediately in the corners, the carpeting was worn almost through,... More

Amazing views of Mont St Michel from our room and the restaurant. The food was delicious and the staff were all very nice. We did have a toilet that "talked" to us but had a great shower. The bed was also very comfy. If you stay.. try the pork tenderloin and scalloped potatoes (they were divine!) I had to ask... More

I agree with pretty much all that has been said about this place. A challenge to find, but very beautiful sprawling grounds. The ominous dark shape of MSM off in the distance for farm lands in the foreground. The room was adequate for our one night there. I didn't understand the carpetted bathroom, and shower-head with no curtain. We dined... More

After a little trouble finding the hotel down a narrow set of roads we were met with a mediocre welcome. Too bad because the place looked beautiful from the outside. Great view of Mount St Michel and beautiful farm land. The room was old and dated. The bathroom had carpet on the floor and no shower curtains. The pillows needed... More

Having stayed in 6 hotels in 8 days this was the last and very disappointing. I would have preferred to have gone home a day early! The ambience on arrival was poor - once we found someone to talk to. The superior room was a through back to motel styles of the 1970s and 1980s. Decor was drab, bathroom (and... More

The hotel itself is just lovely. Very quaint with beautiful grounds, lovely terrace bar and a nice restaurant with countryside views. If you have the right room you can see the Mont in the distance which is nice to have the view without being in the midst of the tourist craze that exists closer to the Mont. The restaurant was...
