I stayed at this hotel/hostel with a friend for three nights in mid-May. It is only a 5 minute walk from the bus station and we had no trouble finding it. For 30euro per night we had a double room with private 3/4 bath (warning - the shower was not a traditional shower, but more of a spout with a drain under it), and a private balcony with a lovely view of the sea in the distance. It may not compare to the view that the fancy hotels on the Caldera have, but we were pleasantly surprised. The room was cleaned daily. The only real problem we had with our room was that it got pretty cold at night, and even the multiple blankets on the bed were not enough to keep warm under. There seemed to be a heater-like thing, but we never got it to work!

The hotel is located about a 10 minute walk away from the main part of Fira, but there are plenty of casual dining options right next door, as well as an assortment of moped/ATV rental shops.
