The rooms are outdated (you cannot even check-out from the room). Our room was in the back of the hotel, and you would expect it to be quiet, but every little move past the door or from the room above made it impossible to sleep. The walls are beyond thin so you hear everything. The plumbing from the rooms around... more

my wife and i arrived to find no accomodations for babies....no refrigerator or even a microwave,,,,had 2 phones in room....what the heck for....who knows....was charged more than what was quoted...would not recommend...better and less expensive hotels in the area more

My husband and I just spent 2 consecutive nights at the Holiday Inn in Plainview and we had a GREAT stay. The room was very clean; we stayed in a non-smoking king room and the bed and pillows were super comfortable. Like the other reviews say, the bathroom is a little small, but it's super clean and they gave us... more

I stayed here for 4 nights (booked for me). Hotel was pretty bad. The worst thing was the lack of windows - just one window at the front of the bedroom, looking out onto the corridor, so curtains had to be kept closed. Very small and low-quality bathroom (just toilet and bath/shower). Low quality fixtures (sink - which was outside... more

BullHusky's review is quite accurate in most respects. I, too, emphasize the cleanliness and the friendliness. The pool, like the rooms, was spotless. However, the bathroom was minuscule and it's been a very long time since I used a non-elongated toilet. Oops. There was no latch on the bathroom door. Water pressure was AOK even during peak-demand times. There's plenty... more

We visited the hotel with my son's early teen soccer team. After reading some last minute reviews of the property, we almost cancelled . However, we decided to give it a try and once settled in, our concerns dissipated. No, it is not the Ritz Carlton. However, the property and rooms were VERY clean( my wife is a neat freak... more

I was pleasantly surprised during my one night stay at this hotel. We picked this hotel because it was close to a wedding we were attending and the price was reasonable. We are 4 adults in our fifties. I found the room to be spacious and clean. The bathroom was well lit with the tub/shower area extremely well kept. The... more

I chose this HI due to it's location. I'm usually biased against staying at HI's as my impression is that they are dated and worn. This one was right in line. The other reviewers of the hotel got it pretty accurately. Friendly, helpful staff including the restaurant. But the rooms are so...... last generation. It seems that when this was... more

We were here on a Cold Spring Harbor Conference and were booked into this room. We were shocked by being booked into a room without windows and extremely low ceilings. It was like sleeping in a cage. In addition the room was very smelly, We finally checked out after one night and organized an alternative accommodation for ourselves. more
