Yeah, I know, the place is old, but what's wrong with that? Most people, my wife included, think that's part of the charm of the place, as no two rooms are alike. Want uniformity, there's a Days Inn less than ten minutes away. No, you won't see rooms the size of a Caesar's Palace high-roller suite, but seriously, how much... more

After a lovely ride up to Purling to embark on a weekend away from the motion and pace of Manhattan, we arrived at the Bavarian Manor Country Inn. The inn looked quaint and comfortable and we were greeted by a friendly dog and the family who runs the lodge. However, all this warm hospitality was erased after stepping foot in... more

We found the Bavarian Manor online, and we're so glad we did! Rooms were at a premium last weekend due to the yearly Irish festival and the Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival ( which we attended.) The Manor is an old, utterly charming B&B with a great wrap-around porch, clean rooms, excellent food and a very nice wait staff. The front desk... more

My boyfriend booked our room for 2 nights. Upon arrival, I noticed the shower wasnt completely clean(not to mention there was a hole in the plastic on the outside of the tub). The room was not terrible, but it was nothing fancy. We then had dinner in the restaurant. Now, maybe german food isnt our thing, but we did not... more

The hotel staff was not friendly and the restaurant staff was even worse. After arriving it took 15 minutes to find someone to check us in, and the same scenario when trying to check out. The bed was VERY uncomfortable. The free breakfast was worse than crappy dinner food. And to top it all off, the building is gorgeous but... more

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the Manor last weekend. Friday evening we arrived to a lively group at the bar, and enjoyed a few good german beers. We had dinner at the Restaurant, and enjoyed a romantic, fireside meal, the dinner was exceptional, the waitstaff extremely professional and very accomondating . We were happy to retire... more

My friends & I have been going to the Bavarian Manor Inn for the past 13 years. We usually go in Oct (Columbus Day weekend) & in Feb. when the kids are off from school so they could go skiing at Windham Mountain. The rooms are very cozy & uniquely decorated & very comfortable.. The atmosphere is very family oriented.... more

The room we stayed in was slanted. When exiting the bathoom it felt as though you would fall. The dropped ceiling was comming down, and you could see water spots from leaks. Maids clean and you have no way to tell them to not enter your room (that they all have the key to) The place gives a eerie feeling,... more

IHere is our response to the all the reviews about our family inn. Rest assured, we take each one seriously, in particular the "not-so favorable" ones, those we take most seriously of all. Some of the comments we will not respond to because they are seem really questionable. However, for anyone reading these reviews please know that our family and...

Our two nights at the Bavarian Manor were pleasant, relaxing, and enjoyable. The room was quite clean and the owners were very welcoming. The German restaurant on the first floor was truly a treat - the food was quite extraordinary. Breakfast was quite enjoyable as well. There are minor inconveniences and flaws with the 140 year old hotel, but all... more
