I stayed their recently for a weekend visit to Shelter Island with a galpal. This was one of the few places on the island that happened to have last minute availability. It was clean and charming. Maria, who runs the property together with David, is happy to share local knowledge. They have a nice porch which is great for breakfast... more

Stayed at Stearns Point House in Shelter Island this Summer. Clean and very basic, the managers Dave and Marie were great. Breakfast was ok, with fresh coffee, OJ, milk, muffins, bread, donuts, fruits. The building is an old farm of sorts, very basic with the land not that impressive, the grass field out front really in poor shape - don't... more
