I recently stayed at this country inn with five friends over the Labor Day weekend. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed getting away from our busy routine in the city. The Village Latch Inn more than met our expectations. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and tastefully furnished. The lobby and lounge looked like a page from Architectural Digest. The... more

What a pleasure to discover the Village Latch Inn in Southampton. In a era surfeit with the homogeneity of Holiday Inns, Residence Inns, Quality Inns and Ramada Inns, it’s a relief to come across one in the true sense of the word. The dedication of the owner – operators clearly comes through at the “Latch”, reflecting their 35 year commitment... more

As a wine buyer, I have spent over 1,000 nights in hotels. Everything from Super 8s to 5 room Inns in Provence. There is definitely something to recommend the Super 8 experience. You get your key. Go to your room. Open the door and the bed is in exactly the same place, the curtains the same material and the first... more

Having stayed at over 200 hotels and inns in recent years (for business and pleasure), I have never felt so compelled to write a review as I do now, following my stay at this place. I hesitate to call it an "inn" or "bed & breakfast", as it would be disrespectful to those establishments. It is more like a hostel... more

Not sure where to begin on this one. This hotel was so bad, I felt obligated to write a review. I hope I save someone else from making a mistake and staying here. Its obvious they getaway charging there obscenely high rates because of their location. Yes it is close the village of South Hampton. I think this is the... more

I have never been so pleased or so pleasantly surprised by a hotel stay! I came to Southampton for the first time ever to attend polo. I really lucked out when I found this place online, and was lucky enough to find an available room during the summer season. Sally and Gail at the front desk could not have been... more

We chose Village Latch Inn despite negative reviews we read here. We were very satisfied with our stay at this property. The staff was friendly and helpful in terms of restaurants and activities in the area. The Inn, while not perhaps luxurious, was very comfortable, rooms quite adequate. The property was clean. Breakfast was average, but fresh, and we enjoyed... more

My husband and I made a reservation at the Village Latch despite reading the other negative reviews on line. A lot of our friends from New York stay there all the time and love it. We were looking for a special getaway and the Village Latch Inn was just that. The location, right in town and close to the beach... more

My husband and i and small group of friends stayed in this hotel. it is fair to say that it is one of the most disgusting hotels I have ever seen and for over $500 per night it was a disgrace. The rooms stank, the owner had no interest in any complaints, the towels were actually threadbare. I have heard... more

This place is AWFUL! The rooms are an embarrassment! They are filthy and beyond outdated. The poolside was actually dangerous and is in severe need of repair, as is the rest of this overpriced rip-off. How dare they say this is a 4 star Inn! I've stayed in better places in 3rd world countries! I was absolutely horrified that we... more
