We just stayed at the Candlewood Suites while in Syracuse. I would not recommend this hotel. The bedding was old and grimy, there were spiderwebs and it just had a older sort of dirty feel to it. Not only did we have a fully equipped kitchen (including dishwasher) but they also had a free laundromat! Husband and I just needed to stay somewhere near the airport because our AM flight was so early. Never stayed at a Candlewood before. Was pleasantly surprised. Check-in was smooth and friendly. Great location - lotsof fast food and major department stores all minutes away. Room & Kitchenette looked sparkling new - I wished I had those nice kitchen set here at home! Wonderful full size fridge, microwave and 2 burner hotplate so we could make light meals to keep the trip economical. DVD and satellite tv right in room. Windows open... more

We stayed here on our way to Fort Lauderdale. Close to the airport, staff was friendly, rooms were clean but because of kitchenettes one room had a faint odour of fish until our own food was cooked. Small but adequate free gym and laundry faciities, free internet in lobby for 20 minutes. free DVD rental and1 free soda per room.... more
