we went to mauritius recently and stayed at the intercontinental in balaclava. the hotel is new and the rooms and restaurants are all very nice. since my husband is platinum ambassador level we got upgraded to a very nice jacuzzi room. the room exceeded our expectations. the beach on that side of island is man made, and a bit rocky.... more

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at InterContinental, it is a beautiful resort with many great features. The service was great with friendly people greeting us at all times.
