An unforgettable stay... I had a wide room with a patio on the beach in which I spent hour relaxing, watching tides and residents. Room service was excellent, and the chef really super. All the employees were kind and friendly. I remember I told a waiter that I like coconuts. He clamb a tree and caught me some for breakfast...

Me and my wife went to SA for the first time, Capetown was great, the safari we did was unreal but we finished with a week at Marlin Lodge and what a good choice that was! We did the inclusive deal where you get the wine and food etc but just to wake up in those gorgeous little rooms and... More

A very special place to unwind, particularly after a safari. This is a really 'get away from it all' place, where you can be both sociable and solitary. We loved the charming, helpful staff, Colette needs a special mention here for dedication to her guests and attention to detail. Wonderful clean beach with a vast bay which you share with... More

We had a lovely holiday and the lodge was very nice. We arrived on a terribly hot day and our room was very stuffy upon arrival. Most lodges we go to make sure things are prepared for a lovely arrival. The staff were nice and always smiling but the attention to detail wasn't that what you expect for the steep... More

Dear All, We would like to thank the entire team at Marlin Lodge for making our very private wedding ceremony a magical and memorable experience. Colette, Zac and Kay - your attention to detail was appreciated. We loved every moment of our special day. By way of positive suggestion - the fish was cooked to perfection and wish we your... More

Indulge in your tropical island fantasies of white beaches & azure sea at Marlin Lodge. The lodge is great - attentive and friendly service, fantastic food (loved the crayfish BBQ, curried apple soup and king mackerel fish & chips) and wonderful activities (loved the snorkelling!). Rooms are right on the beach with loungers in front of your room - it's... More

On our Honeymoon, we arrived from a week's safari in Botswana, so the contrast couldn't have been greater. Beautiful island location off the Mozambique coast. We arrived by speedboat but helicopter transfers are also available. Perfect restful atmosphere. And a hammock! Our chalet was beautiful with a real African feel, and it felt perfectly secluded. The staff, from the chambermaids... More

I wish I had read the last review before going because Ruud was completely spot on. It's a nice hotel. But I feel completely robbed because this was my big special holiday and everything was just below standard for what you expect when you pay this money.

We had a great stay, with good food, in a lovely room on an average beach. Comparing this trip to other places like Sri Lanka, Thailand, French Polenisia, even neighbouring Tanzania, the $1000 per night cost just doesn't make sense. For a thousand dollars a night you expect complete luxury, you hope for no added activity costs, and you expect... More
