The fourth stopover of our safari. (See, Dik Dik Arusha, Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge, Seronera Wildlife Lodge and also Sultan Sands Zanzibar add-on) Judging by all other reviews our 14 strong party have been lucky in each stopover. No construction, no surly staff and good service. The hotels were very quite but I am puzzled by some of the comments about... more

This hotel has one amazing positive - a simply incredible location. You can sit on your balcony and look down over Lake Manyara NP. The location is stunning, and the public areas of the hotel are very handsome. Now the buts, and I have a few. Some of my complaints are minor and it would take little to remedy them,... more

Very nice hotel set in beautiful grounds with fabulous view over Lake Manyara national park. Rooms clean and simple. Restaurant ok. Staff helpful. Interesting village that you have to drive through to get to hotel, contrasts perfectly with inside the hotel gates. more

This was the first of the three Hotels and Lodges (T) Ltd group that we stayed in. It wasn’t the best but it defiantly wasn’t the worst that we stayed in. They were doing some work while we were there but this didn’t affect our stay as the noise was minimal. The room (No 88) was minimal but clean and... more

Best features of this Hotel are the view and the pool. Besides, food was good and no complaining about the room. After sunset and dinner Simbamasaigroup played happy music and gave great feelings for couple of beers. Enjoyable place after seeing pretty flamingoes of Lake Manyara. more

Rooms fine, shower good. Food was good (self-service buffet style) and service ok. Lunch box from this hotel appalling though; Cheese roll had 6 flakes of grated cheese (no kidding), ham roll had 1 small slice ham and 1 small slice tomato. Not good enough at all. View from the dining room and bedrooms stunning. Gardens immaculate; seems like a... more

Overall, unless you are a flamingo freak, I would skip Lake Manyara. The owners are renovating this facility which had passed its prime. It looks like it will be very nice when it is finished. Some of the lodge is still dated and worn, but there is a new pool with rock patio, a brand new cabana bar and a... more

I really liked this hotel and thought it was a step up in quality from the ones I stayed in in Ngorongoro (Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge) and the Serengeti (Seronera Lodge). Perhaps because Lake Manyara is a bit less remote and closer to 'civilisation'. The food was fantastic, the service was friendly and top notch and the rooms were clean and... more

Like many of the other reviewers have stated, this hotel is all about the view. After a day out on safari, it was lovely to come back to a hot shower and a beer on the terrace overlooking Lake Manyara. This view is spectacular and the best in the park. We had read reviews prior to leaving and so were... more

Nothing about his place was good but the view. The food was terrible. It was the only National Park lodge that didn't serve food from a buffet line, but it probably would have been better to see the food before choosing. The only thing worse than the food was the service. The waiters were worthless. They actually seemed to feel... more
