Zenji hotel is a good place to stay for your stonetown trip. Friendly stuff, good (and free) wifi and close proximity to the harbour, park and fort. It is next to a road so do get the 2nd level rooms if you prefer to have a quieter stay.

Very good service from friendly and good location if you want to come away from the most touristy city centre. Nice roof to have a drink and wifi. Best thing is all local and community based program's, tours and selling - including ice cream and espresso. Lejonresor organised all our tours perfectly. Will be back!

This is a great base from which to explore the sights of stonetown. Rooms are clean, tastefully decorated and comfortable. My husband and I had a good experience here. The staff was very friendly, the location was very central - walking distance to everything, the breakfast was really nice on the rooftop patio, beds and rooms were comfortable and clean. We would stay again.

Everyone at the Zenji in Stone Town go the extra mile to make their customers feel right at home. Affordable, clean, lovely rooftop breakfast and extremely obliging staff. A little cool haven amidst the hustle and bustle of a vibrant place. Try it - you won't be disappointed.
