having escaped from Toulouse, L'Atalaya was most welcome and welcoming. The upgraded room was a surprise as was the excellent view from it. restaurant and dinners were outstanding as was Michel. France hosiptality does not get any better than this. more
We weren't sure what we'd find at the end of the winding road to Llo, but we were sure we weren;t going to have many alternatives! L"Atalaya is situated in a tiny hamlet, windows open to the sound of goat bells and ancient church bells and to the sight of the mountains and small clusers of cottages in their lee.... more
llo is a small town that outside of the ski season has a population of around 10 people and only one hotel being this one. there are no pubs or restaurants in the town open at this time of the year. hotel basically is a relic from days gone by. Im sure used to be the place to be but... more
We stayed here two nights in mid-May. Madame Toussain, the owner, was very welcoming. The hotel is a tastefully restored building, tucked onto the side of a hill in this very small and quiet village. Rooms individually furnished, and clean and comfy if a touch basic. But great views over the valley. We ate in the restaurant on both nights... more
