We stayed here the weekend of July 24 to attend a friend's wedding. We normally would have stayed in a B&B but almost all of them refuse young children. So - in searching for something that would be amenable to a 9 month old, I chose the Lodge. It had rooms with fridges available (a big plus) and the dining... more

We were travelling with 4 other couples and had booked the cabins so that we could all be together. They were disgraceful. I have seen better slums on TV documentaries. However, the restaurant and bar were good. more

GREAT place to stay in Watkins Glen. I stayed in a motel unit with 2 queen beds. The room was very clean and the bathroom appeared to be recently remodeled. Quiet and serene location. The restaurant and bar are a lot of fun and the food is great. Be sure to try the homemade salad dressings... I did get a... more

Stayed at the Seneca Lodge on Columbus Day weekend (Oct 10-11) 2008 with a group of 8 for a wine tasting trip. We booked only a few weeks in advance and this turned out to be one of the few places in town that could accommodate our large group at such late notice. Many in our group were concerned about... more

We were a group of 4 couples staying in 4 motel rooms (#13, 15, 16, 17). The rooms were immaculately clean. They looked like they may have been recently remodeled (new bathroom fixtures, tub surround, fresh paint). No frills - no phones, hair dryers, or toiletries (except bar soap) in the rooms. We had a deck in front of our... more

The Seneca Lodge is an old timey Adirondack type lodge from the 50s. Unfortunately the rooms smell like it. They are very musty and mildewy smelling, though they do appear clean. The setting is in the woods, so the buildings and cabins never get the sun; hence the mustiness. The pool was horrible looking. It looked like it hadn't been... more

My family stayed at the Seneca Lodge over the weekend. A few years ago we stayed in one of the cabins, but since they were booked we stayed at the lodge. The rooms were very nice and clean and reasonably priced. We ate at the restaurant which was VERY convenient and had great service and food. We like the "woodsy/rustic"... more

Our group of 4 (2 parents, 16 yr old, 5 yr old) were visitng Watkins Glen State Park and needed a room for 1 Saturday night. I read the tripadvisor reviews and chose Seneca Lodge. I called to make the reservation. I was told (politely) that they have a 1 night minimum but it turns out someone had booked Th... more

Our first night at Seneca Lodge we stayed in a cabin. The first thing we noticed was a weird smell. I don't know what they use to clean these things but it's strange. However, not as strange as the electricity in the cabin, which during the night decided to turn on and off over and over. Because we had a... more

For five years I have stayed in a different room at Seneca Lodge the first weekend in August. This year I was in Room 25. When we opened the door, the smell about knocked us over. It was a cross between bug spray and mildew. We opened the windows, sprayed some Fabreeze and hoped that it would "air out". We... more
