Claims to being a five star hotel but I would rate it three and a half at best. We stayed there with our extended family for a weekend: Accommodation: Room is simple and clean. Dining: Food is plentiful but simple - don't go there if you're looking for a gourmet meal. Cold drinks and beer and included in the price... more

Although claiming to be 5 star quality it barely scrapes 4. Rooms: maintenance culd be better. Food: plentiful(buffet-self service!) but of average quality. The Dead Sea beach was hit by bad sewage problems and was ignored except by tourists who did not see the tiny warning notices. Prices are not cheap, though. There are better hotels along the Dead Sea. more

the hotel was one of the nicer ones in the area, with free parking, and right across the street, like a 2 min walk at most was the dead sea beach. the service at reception is kind of bad, but other than that the room was very clean, comfy pillows and bed, with views of the pool and the dead... more

The hotel is across from its own private beach on the Dead Sea, and most rooms have simply breathtaking views of the sea. The rooms themselves are a bit small and just average in decorations and amenities. The spa service was excellent, although the treatment rooms were again not well decorated. As well, the amenities in the spa area were... more

Recently we had spent a weekend at the Daniel. We had better to choose another hotel. The only good thing I can say about Daniel Dead Sea is that the hotel is clean. And that it as a cute "Scottish pub" (that serves good Israeli beer). However, there are too many annoying little things that ruin the experience, for example:... more

We were only able to get rooms for one night in the Daniel Dead Sea Hotel. From the moment we arrived until we checked out the staff was so very unpleasant and unfriendly, and it started to annoy us and to spoil our vacation time. The staff hardly speaks English, but are fluent in Russian. After having a beautiful time... more

There is very little to do in Ein Bokek except visit the Dead Sea. I would suggested limiting your trip to one or two days. The Daniel Dead Sea looks cosmetically very pleasing from the photos and based upon first impressions. After a brief while, you can easily see that the hotel is well past it's prime and is in... more

Ask me anything, I'll say vrey well organised. Not really a 5*, more like a 4*, but modern and clean, roomy and comfortable. The meals were fresh and very varied. Salad bars vrey well stacked and fresh. The pools were nice size and clean. Beach was across the street, a 2 min walk or you could take the little fun... more

After reading so much pro and con about the Daniel Dead Sea Hotel, I was surprised to find it an opulent oasis in the desert. Our large group was greeted with fruit drinks and fresh fruit before being shown to our rooms. Meals in the dining room were outstanding. (For breakfast, get there before 8:30 a.m. when long lines start... more
