If paradise exists, you'll find it here! Set high up in the mountains close to the well-known Cotopaxi volcano, Tierra del Volcan couldn't be situated in a more idyllic location. After adapting to the high altitude, you can enjoy the peaceful, breathtaking surroundings that this place has to offer. The lodge has a very cosy, warm, welcoming feel to it, making you feel instantly at home. The service by the humble, friendly members of staff is excellent, and the food is delicious! They offer all sorts of activities, including lovely treks through the surrounding wilderness, and amazing horse-back rides up into the mountains. I recommend the 4 hour ride - I can guarantee it will be an experience you'll never forget! Beautiful, breathtaking, astounding, exciting, spectacular, peaceful, enlightening... there aren't enough adjectives to describe this wonderful place! I'd go back there any day - and how I wish I could! more
