Good Evening Everyone, I want to quailfy this review because I don't want you to throw it in with the other 5% negitive opinions. I realize we usually have dissenting experiences on Tripadvisor, whch we all use to base our decisions regarding travel. Many in this category are usually ignored as someone who is impossible to please or has unrealistic... more

I had read quite a bit about this lodge. Our travel agent which was based in Lima however I did meet him overseas recommended it highly. Both my husband and myself were very dissapointed and totally bored! The guide whom picked us up could not speak english well or deliver what we were suppose to do. They were not outside... more

The attention to detail is indescribable at this lodge. From the mosquito nets, citronella candles and biodegradable soaps there is definite purpose in making your trip both comfortable and in touch with nature. Sure the frogs visit your room at night and surprise you on your nightly washroom visits but isn't that the point of being in the Amazon. None... more

Stayed for 2 nights, 3 days at Posada Amazonas...we were very lucky to have Rodolfo as our guide, was very knowlegdable. We saw a lot of wildlife including a Jaguar, tons of Macaws, snakes, spiders, tons of monkeys, sloths, caimans and a whole family of giant river otters. Also, Rodolfo, and everyone else at the place, made us def. feel... more

Stayed for 3 days/2 nights at PA with my partner. This is a well-run operation and the pick-up, drop-off, and organized activities are planned to maximize your "jungle" experience. Because this is the closest of this company's operations to Puerto Maldonado, I think it is probably the best option for a two-night or even a three-night stay. (Refugio is at... more

Stayed at this lodge for 3 nights and enjoyed it very much. The place is very special and hard to describe. You've almost all the things you need and can live in comfort, but at the same time in the jungle. The guides are absolutely amazing with a vast amount of knowledge that they happily share. The lodge is build... more

My husband and I stayed at Posada Amazonas for 2 nights/3 day stays in May. The other reviewers are right when they describe it as a unique and incredible experience. I loved the exotic and tropical feel of the lodge and room. The guides (Fino and William) were absolutely amazing. They spoke excellent English, were friendly, and were skilled at... more

We spent 10 days in Peru, and our 3-night stay at Posada Amazonas was likely the best part. The lodge was lovely, with the lack of electrical lighting and the three-sided rooms really adding to the charm. The food was tasty and plentiful, and the staff did a variety of things that made our stay feel luxurious. Our guide, Ivo,... more

most of what i might write has already been said here already - i found the descriptions that others wrote to be extremely accurate. the place felt unique and unusual, our guide was great, the food was decent, the room noise a bit of a problem, and the showers cold. we thought we'd just skip the shower for the 2... more

We arrived at Posada Amazonas after a two hour boat trip which added to the feeling of remoteness. We were pleasantly surprised by our room which, although of wood and bamboo construction, didn't seem too flimsy or public. Admittedly you could hear other people but this was outweighed by fact that you could listen to the amazing sounds of the... more
