Charming Band B for those that want peace and isolation in Western Australia's south west. It comes as advertised and guests are well looked after by the proprietor and his staff. Taken that the guy who owns the place, runs the place; you know your not going to walk on in and find some teenager behind the desk that cares more about his pay check than you. Chimes should be an example for hotels that just can't seem to work out what good customer service and attention to detail is all... more

We stayed at Chimes after it was recommended by a travel agent based in Perth. It was sold to us as an adult retreat, which it is. I believe they only have 10 rooms all designed for couples in mind. We were made to feel really welcome with a roaring log fire in reception and a bottle of Port left... more

Paid the not insubstantial amount of $AUD300 to stay in a "room for a few" advertised as being able to take up to 5 people at the Chimes spa retreat. Arrived at 6.15pm to find that the reception had closed and our room key was left in an envelope on the counter. We are a married couple and were hosting... more
