This b & b takes the cake when it comes to cleanliness and hospitality. It does, however, need to define the word breakfast. A highlight of many b & b's in the UK is the full English breakfast so often made with local produce. A b & b or small hotel in Europe may include ham, and cheese and bread from the local bakery. The breakfast at AJ's is more a snack when it strikes me as one of those places you expect would deliver the best from local suppliers. A small point I hear you say. Yes it is in the grand scheme of things and AJ's is not alone in New Zealand by calling this a breakfast so when you see the words ' bed and breakfast' do not assume fabulous sausages or black pudding or free range eggs or tasty bacon or fat halves of grilled tomato and crusty bread.
