Pam and Rob are the perfect hosts - Rob with his knowledge of the area and NZ in general - great description of the earthquake zones and techtonic plates ! Ferry Landing is located within easy driving distance of all the historic and scenic points of interest. The ferry picks up passengers almost at the bottom of the garden for the very short trip to Whitianga which is handy for restaurants. Restaurants are very handy and you can leave the car behind. We stayed in the Sunshine Room which lived up to its name, the room was spotless and spacious with good sized Bedroom and Shower Room.
