The Catskill Lodge certainly lived up to the reviews that we had read before booking a room. Innkeeper David greeted us in the driveway, gave us a tour, offered a glass of wine or a cold beer after our long drive and provided us with a map of the area and recommendations for good places to eat. From the charming exterior to the comfortable and cozy room, this b and b is rated as a favorite in my book. The selection of resources for our visit in the mountains was great and my brother loved reading the story "Rip Van Winkle". Breakfast was delicious and David was a gracious inn keeper. It was my first time ever staying at a B&B, so I didn't know what to expect. We chose Catskill Lodge because the price was the best in the area and it didn't look as tacky as the other B&Bs. The place is hard to find. The dirt parking lot was not plowed very well and was icy every day... more
