I had a room on the basement level, with a tiny resemblance of a window. I paid about 120 bucks for my one night stay. The place is ran down: wallpapers coming off, cheap and shabby furniture, loud and smelly A/C. Walls are so thin you get to hear everything from the hallway and rooms next to yours. Sheets seemed... As in the tittle – hotel was middle class. The price was quite high comparing with conditions, but this is New York, right? Room is quite small, but it has everything you want. Bed is very big, there’s TV, free Wi-Fi, safe and coffee machine. It was more or less clean. Bathroom was generally also clean, but shower seemed like... More

I arrived at night. My room had no heat or working lights except a bedside lamp. I told the front desk who sent a maintenance man. He changed the lightbulbs - when that didn't work he shrugged and said he couldn't do anything else. He said the window mounted heater was working. We could hear the motor but no heat... More

We just got back from a four-night trip to NYC and stayed at the HoJo Express in Woodside while we were there. Our prime reason for picking this location was price - we paid less for four nights than we would have paid for two nights anyplace in Manhattan. We arrived at noon, three hours before check-in, hoping they could... More

We read reviews for this hotel and decided that it was an acceptable risk to make a reservation. Manhattan prices were more than we were willing to pay so this hotel was the right price. Our room was not great. Beds and bedding were worn and looked old, the nonsmoking room was musty smelling. We came back to our room... More

Good location to stay outside of Manhattan for the price. This is a no frills hotel that is about a five minute walk to the train and is about a 20 minute ride into Manhattan. A very basic breakfast is free in the mornings consisting of coffee, orange juice, muffins and Danish. We found a little store on the way... More

My boyfriend and two of our friends stayed at the hotel for 10 nights and it was a good experience. I really don't have anything special to object to. Actually, all I can think of are good things about the hotel. Towels were changed everday, the light in the bathroom was fixed the day after it stopped working, breakfast wasn't... More

It’s easy to get to this hotel from JFK airport, through the Airtran Jamaica station and then the train in direction to Penn station. The Hotel location is close to the 61 St. Woodside train station (7). This station connects you to the second main subway stations in NYC, which is 42 scd. Grand Central Terminal and 42 st. Time... My family of 4 stayed in this hotel for 3 days in May 2011 for our visit to the New York City. The rooms are indeed small and very congested with 2 queen size beds. The room and bathroom are reasonably clean. No refrigerator and/or microwave in room. The price is high but probably reasonable given its location in Queens,... More

This hotel is easy to access from both la guardia and jfk airport (about 30 usd by taxi from jfk). Its also easy to get to manhatten by the subway, a 5 min walk and then 10-15 mins on the train. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel clean and tidy. The rooms are perhaps a bit... More
