We visited Anchorage House in May and found the whole experience rather strange. When we arrived, the note on the door gave us a number to call when we recieved access codes and instructions. Guests are pretty much left to fend for themselves at night and while it didn't bother me too much, I could imagine it being an issue... more

We were going to be arriving well past check-in time but I called and they gave me the door code and the number to contact them if there was any problem. They were very helpful. We stayed in the Elizabethan room which was very nice. We never move the car the all weekend because we walked the 2 blocks to... more

We stopped in Beaufort earlier in July without knowing where to stay and stumbled upon Anchorage Inn. The manager (and guests!) was most helpful and our check in went smoothly. Me and my boyfriend stayed in the room in the little cabin out in the back with a lot of room and our own jacuzzi. The room was clean and... more

We spent a weekend in Beaufort, NC and truly enjoyed our stay at the Anchorage House B&B. (We were in the Hemingway room) Some pros: The breakfast was excellent and the Innkeepers were very nice about our vegetarian dietary needs. The breakfast included cereals and fruit, eggs, French toast, and coffee. All very wonderful! The bathroom of the Hemingway room... more

We enjoyed our stay at the Anchorage House Inn B&B. The inn is in a home build in the 1880’s and is located a couple of blocks (easy walk) from Beaufort’s historic waterfront. We enjoyed the decoration and furnishing of the inn (Victorian with a bit of southern theme). Our room was comfortable and the bed was absolutely wonderful! Breakfast... more

My wife and I have stayed here several times, and have not experienced problems, and have even made referrals to this property. I think we, like most people who stay at B&B's make a special effort to do so, and expect something special for that effort. Unfortunately that is not always the case as we found out. We had reservations... more

Our guests and their comments are very important to us and I can assure you that Beaufort has not become a resort destination that doesn’t care about its visitors. However, we have a 10 week old daughter to raise, a family who would like to see us on occasion and a life to live. We treasure our guests and can...

My husband and I stayed at the Anchorage House Bed and Breakfast in order to celebrate our anniversary. We absolutely adored the Abingdon Room. The bed was comfortable and cozy. The one-person jacuzzi was very romantic. The innkeeper provided chocolate dipped strawberries and champagne for our arrival. If you have an opportunity to stay the night, you will not regret... more

My wife and I stayed two nights last week at the Anchorage Bed and Breakfast in Beaufort. We had a wonderful time and would love to stay there again. The room we were in was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good. I liked the large bowls of Strawberries and the delicious coffee. We had wireless internet access in our... more

The bed and breakfast was small and kept very clean. The innkeepers were very nice and were not overly nosey about what we wanted to do while on vacation, which I appreciated. The breakfast each morning was fantastic, especially the cinnamon muffins! Make sure to grab one if you can because they go fast. We stayed in the Hemingway room... more

My fiance and I stayed at the Anchorage House for a weekend in July and thoroughly enjoyed it. We stayed in "The Statesman" room which is downstairs and probably their most basic room. Still, both the room and bathroom were quite spacious and immaculate, and the twin beds make a great king! We were also able to glimpse into the... more
