This hotel was very clean the room was large with sitting area at fireplace. It also had a large window seat with a great view and we twice saw groups of deer. Portsmouth, Ohio Date: 08-23-07 thru 08-26-07 We came down for the Fall Bristol race and had a great time, Everybody was very friendly and helpful. Great food, especially the pecan trout. We went to Beech Mountain as part of a small family reunion, and we booked four rooms in the Beech Alpen Inn a few days after Christmas. The rooms were spacious enough, nothing fancy, relatively clean. The staff, however, was wonderful: helpful, understanding, and patient. I'm telling you right now - this is an awesome place to stay! Pet friendly, the innkeeper, Stephen, goes out of his way to be accommodating.
