This is a nice quaint place to stay on top of the hill. It is not fancy but comfortable. It is reasonablly price and they have a small continetial breakfast. We stay at Alpen Acres 2 to 4 times a year. That should tell you that we like the place. It's not the fanciest, but the location is great. It's very clean and well-kept. Excellent access to Blowing Rock, NC, Appalachain Ski Resort and Tweetsie Railroad. The nicest people work to assure a comfortable nights stay every time I have stayed there. more

My wife and I have stayed at the Alpen Acres many times and each one has been a great and memorable experience. It's private and extremely comfortable and has a family feel to the place.
