This is not a high-end hotel, but I found the accomodations very pleasant and most importantly the beds very comfortable. The Inn is obviously older and the rooms are not like what you would see in a newer hotel. However, everything was clean, comfortable and worked properly. We stayed at the hotel while visiting a relative in Boone. The hotel is clean and quiet. The staff is friendly. The location is good. We stayed at this hotel at Appalachian State University as part of a football recruiting weekend. The rooms are simply adequate--nothing fancy or updated--but clean. There was a big high school group there skiing and surprisingly there was no late night noise. Not many choices in Boone but the staff is friendly & helpful but not a 5 star resort. more

We stayed here using a certificate from (---). This certificate was for 2 nights+1 breakfast (for two people) for $110. This is a GREAT price for decent hotel in this area. This is the best place to stay in Boone. You don't have to be associated with the univ to stay there but it's located on the campus. Our room was a suite with 2 king size beds and upscale furnishings and carpets (brand new) about 5 yrs ago. Meals aren't bad either. My only criticism were queen sheets on king... more
