For what they call a 'mom and pops' hotel, this one was fine. For what it was, our room was clean and well-equipped. Don't quite trust the website pics and impressions (who should for any of them though?). There were no offensive odors, and apparently the owners are super turned off to smoking in the rooms. This is the second time I have stayed at the Savannah Inn. This and the Courtyard Marriott are the only 2 places in Carolina Beach I would ever stay at. I travel there several times throughout the summer and this is one of my favorties. Not only is it less expensive than the Marriott but its more cozy and private.... more
