I was there for a wedding, and due to our large group and the stature of the hotel, I was expecting more. I travel close to 10 days a month for business, and I get better service from Courtyard and the Holiday Inn. I would never recommend this hotel!!!! more

My family and I have stayed at the Umstead many times since it's opening. We have had few problems and they were always corrected in a quick and professional manner. We got the "Do It Wright Spa Package, after being told that the $440 included lunch as wll as the tax and tip. I does NOT include tax and tip! If you price out each of the treatments that are included it comes to $425, and lunch can be a little as $10, so it's cheaper to go that way.... more
