We stayed here for two nights during a holiday trip. The Inn was decorated for Christmas and looked lovely. Our room (Romany) was quite nice with an old fashioned feel. It's not the newest place, I felt a bit like I was staying at my grandmother's but in a nice, homey, comfortable way. The breakfasts are really nice. The staff... More

I was told by good friends of ours that the Morehead Inn was a wonderful place to stay in Charlotte because of it's old-school Southern charm and style. The reality is that this is an Inn sadly in need of upgrading. For a hotel that touts itself as an upscale inn, I was disappointed when I came to see that... More

The Morehead Inn is simply a magical escape from the hustle and bustle of the everyday world tucked into a tree-lined street close to downtown Charlotte. My parents came to visit for my birthday and I knew the Morehead Inn was the only place I wanted them to be. Each staff member acted like the Morehead Inn was their personal... More

My husband and I stayed at the Morehead Inn following a business trip to Charlotte. It's a beautiful old building that has some great rooms. We stayed in the Kingston room. It was separate from the main building, had it's own private entrance and was really nice and quiet, despite a wedding party that was also staying at the inn.... More

We spent four nights at the Morehead Inn (Berkeley Room) and wished we could have stayed longer... our room was beautifully appointed and lovingly cared for. We enjoyed the beauty of the public rooms as well as the courteous hospitality granted to us by all personnel, especially Miss Carolyn. The historic district of Dilworth was a joy to take evening... My husband and I were on a road trip through the South and Charlotte was our first stop. We had dinner in Raleigh after a day of travelling and so did not get to the Inn until very late - 10pm. We called them to let them know we were on our way and they were very accommodating and assured... More

An incredibly comfortable and elegant inn located in the Dilworth neighborhood with its variety of restaurants and a five-minute drive from downtown Tryon St. Spacious common areas and rooms. The hosts were very helpful, welcoming, and friendly without being invasive. There is a choice of breakfast menus, and the food was prepared by a skilled chef who took the time... More

I stayed at the Morehead Inn while in Charlotte for an interview. The staff was incredibly helpful and genuine, made sure that I had put my order in for breakfast after I'd had a long day interviewing and remembered to wish me luck each morning before I left. They were incredibly friendly and the grounds and inn itself were immaculate.... More

After a long, snowy drive from our first stop in the mountains of Virginia, the Morehead Inn was a delight to us. Our suite, conveniently located on the first floor, was a sunny, comfortable "Florida" style room filled with comfortable chairs and sofas and a wall of windows designed to make Oscar the Grouch feel cheerful. We had a restful... More

I stayed at the Morehead Inn for just a night and I regret it wasn't for longer. The Inn is simply charming and a delight to stay in. Darren and Carolyn went out of their way to make certain I felt at home. They treated me wonderfully. The breakfast is delicious and the neighborhood the Inn is located is beautiful.... More
