The Lost Cove Campsite came out of nowhere on a windy, mountain road(Highway 19 between Maggie Valley and Cherokee). It was dark, around 10pm, so we stopped and asked about pricing. Very inexpensive at $16 a night, so we decided to stay. The man in charge loaded up our wood, and drove us to our site. It was very secluded, with a creek nearby, and lots of nature. He then told us to get set up and he would start the fire because it had rained the day before and the wood was a little damp. When our tent and things were all set up, we had a roaring fire, a little list of options from him for the next day, and a good feeling altogether. We had hot showers, running water, electricity, and laundry(the last two we did not use). We were close to all of the nearby attractions, and had an amazing weekend in the mountains!! We will definitely stay at the Lost Cove again!! more
