Every year (for the past ten or so), the North Carolina Wine Festival is held in Tanglewood Park. The first year my husband and I went was 2004. Because I knew we'd be drinking our share of wine, I wanted to find a hotel or motel nearby so we wouldn't have to drive the 2 hours or so back home. I was delighted to discover that, right in the park, there is a B&B called Manor House. I booked a room for the night of the festival.

The B&B is well within walking distance to the festival, so, this was the primary benefit (we thought). As it turned out, our stay was wonderful, so, we go back every year we go to the wine festival.

This year was our fourth visit. We decided to stay two nights; spend Saturday at the wine festival as usual and then golf on Sunday.
