I was pleasantly surprised with the tar heel motel. It is located in a quiet part of town off of the local major highway. This motel is by far the most reasonable deal on the island. We arrived with no reservations in high season and we were able to secure a room for $80. The Tar Heel Hotel is truely, a Great place. It is very quaint and quiet. Its room's are generous in space, and it's resturant is very good. Though this motel dosen't have a pool, it does have a small exercise room. Overall, I found this hotel to be of the best standards, and it adds new meaning to the term... more
