First the pluses, I got a great room rate with a discount for paying for my stay in advance. The room was recently remodeled and the hotel has a pretty good wireless internet connection. The room had a mini-fridge and microwave as well a coffee maker, and iron.

The biggest downside was that even though it has a new sign and the motel has a new facade, it is an older building with dark rooms that were slightly on the small side. Since there is absolutely nothing to do after dark in that area I was stuck having to go outside to pace around a bit, but the rooms, beddings, and bathrooms were immaculately clean.

The other notable downside is that a rail siding runs just past the hotel and yes, there is a pre-dawn train that cuts through the area. But since all of the hotels/motels in town are similarly affected there is no escape for light sleepers. It was cool when I was there so the AC was off, but I just turned on the fan for some white noise and I slept... more
