We recently stayed at The Blue Heron having chosen it from the Internet based on its location. if you want a quiet, out of town place to stay then this is it. The owners, Terry and Raine were fantastic and extremely helpful. Terry even gave me a voucher to get our filthy rental car washed free of charge at the local car wash. Our room overlooked the lake. What more could you want when you opened the curtains in the morning? The breakfasts, as in other B&B's and inns, were excellent and freshly cooked by Terry each day. That seems to be his forte! We had the run of the house downstairs but tended to have a few cups of the endless coffee and cake just sit and chill out. As far as standards go, this B&B is second to none and everything in our room was top quality. The oak floors here are the best that I have ever seen in any establishment bar none. The dog, Rex, a border collie, is a real entertainer and probably more intelligent than many humans that I could mention! If you want... more
