This used to be a Fairfield Inn, so if you are familiar with their design, you get the idea. Very nice lobby area, check in was quick and friendly. We weren't expecting much but didn't intend to be in the room other than to sleep so we booked it for a great rate. When we arrived the hotel looked new and the lobby was beautifully decorated with cookies being served. Desk staff was super friendly and helpful on places to eat and directions. We booked this hotel at a medical rate for our stay in Durham during our grandson's surgery. Nothing else was available because of the Duke graduation. We stayed here for two nights during a trip to watch college basketball and hang out. Everything worked fine; the rooms were clean enough, the price was great. Also, the location was convenient. If you're looking for a solid option for a decent price this place was fine. more

This is a decent place to stay. Our room was $60 a night and we got our money's worth. I agree it was probably a dump in the past - the elevator is a bit dingy and the chair in the room was worn out - but the room was clean and neat and the staff were competent and helpful.... more

Completely updated and remodeled hotel. Our arrival was greeted by a wine and beer social in the lobby with super friendly staff and managers. Nice lobby office area with two computers and printer access. Room furniture was stylish and new. Will plan to return soon. more
