We stayed at this hotel when we went to the All Star Race at Lowe's Motor Speedway. I had read some reviews saying that the hotel was located in a "crack neighborhood" and upon arrival noticing a designated parking spot for police added to my concern. The room was small, aged, and depressing. Even the supposedly hot free breakfast was terrible. Very little choices and not even eggs! I would NEVER stay here again! more

We stayed here overnight for a friends function in Kings Mountain. There was a Holiday Inn in Kings Mountain, but the Holiday Inn Express in Gastonia looked brand new and a lot nicer. Couldn't been more pleased with this newer (1 year) hotel. Indoor pool and nice lobby. Breakfast was very good. They had popcorn and coffee throughout the day for a snack. Room was clean and comfortable. About what you would expect from a Holiday Inn Express. Front desk personnel was very pleasant. more
