I will be as detailed as possible, I read reviews on trip advisor all the time before booking a vacation and appreciate detail info. I booked a room using my Wyndham points for a” Girls Weekend" 3-ladies for 3nights 4days and we had a really nice time. We stayed at Fairfield Mountains in there "Maple Ridge" complex in a 1-Bedroom... more

There was so much to do and so little time. One week is not enough if you want to golf, fish, hike, kayak, swim, workout, eat, sitesee in nearby Asheville and Hendersonville, and just enjoy the beauty of the mountains and lake. We are planning on returning for 2 weeks next year. more

I spent my honeymoon in one of the townhouses on Maple Lane. The bad: I thought the website was terrible -- my MIL booked the trip for me but I had no idea where I was staying until check in. I sent THREE emails to the email address on the website with lots of details ,asking where I was staying,... more

We stayed at the resort condos. Experienced was great. They categorize the condos as "A" or "B" depending on the condition. Recommend asking for an "A" unit. Cost is the same. It was very clean and well furnished. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The on site restaurants were a good value along with the quality. Excellent golf, tennis,... more

My family of four traveled to Lake Lure at Labor Day for a long weekend with my parents, my brother and his wife, and my grandparents. My mother took care of the entire arrangements because she and my dad had stayed there before. I had been on the Fairfield Mountains' website and was not too excited about what I had... more

Very excellent experience with plenty to do. Arrived late Friday and checked out early Friday morning. Stayed in one of the Mountain Lofts overlooking the golf course. The property is very well kept. Very quiet area made for a very relaxing week. The unit was very clean and had a nice cedar smell. Furniture was pretty new and comfortable and... more

This is a beautiful resort. The only problem I experienced is the condos need to be updated and maintained better. Ours had not been changed since the 70's or whenever it was built. The bedroom was in bad need of a fresh coat of paint. And I can't forget how hard the mattress was in there! Best feature was the... more

Beautiful property - mountains, golf course and lake. Lots to do or nothing at all - pools, rec center, golf, restaurants. You are in the mountains, so it does take time to drive to Asheville or Hendersonville, but only about an hour or so. Variety of properties to stay at - we stayed at Apple Valley villas, which are efficiencies... more

After searching the internet AND talking directly with the resort staff we booked a long weekend for our party of 5--4 adults and 1 -11 year old. Although the web site lists boating and rentals as part of their amenities, they fail...and the staff fail to tell you that Jet Ski's are prohibited on this lake---a private lake. We hauled... more

We(a couple) visited this resort for 5 days in early March. The staff was very helpful and cordial. We were made to feel very welcome. The resort was still under some renovations in preparation for the tourist season. Plans are to open by spring a new outdoor pool, fitness & spa facility. The golf proshop (2) were also upgraded. The... more
