My husband & I stayed here for a night without the kids! We had a small cabin to ourselves with a spectacular view. room was clean & comfortable. we had a great stay and will be back. Supper and breakfast were both included with the room and tasted great!

My wife and I stayed at the Big Lynn Lodge at the beginning and end of a week long trip along the Blue Ridge Parkway and Natchez Trace Parkway. It was our first visit, but we plan to return when we can. The Lodge is right next to the Parkway about halfway between Boone and Asheville. The setting is impressive... More

This place is great. My boyfriend and I were totally in love with this place not to mention the sweet hospitality they brought. We stayed in the condos that were very affordable. The view was amazing! We woke up to the beautiful sun rise that we saw from our bed. The balcony over look is wonderful! We felt like we... More

We found this place while hitting the emerald mines in the area. We stayed in room 133, it was just remodeled. It had a new bed, carpet and a big comfortable recliner. The staff was very helpful and attentive. We were made to feel at home. This is a pleasant surprise compared to many modern hotels. There is nothing like... More

Our family has been vacationing here for 20 years. Don't expect a fancy room with lots of amenities but do expect peaceful, beautiful surroundings with wonderful healthy meals. It is a family-run lodge that welcomes singles or whole family reunions. You'll be welcomed back each year by the same staff. We enjoy staying in different cabins since each is a... More

We love this quaint place with individual cabins and go every October to see the majestic views. If you are expecting a Hilton this is not the place for you but if you want a get away, with beautiful scenery, and a place to sit and contemplate you will enjoy your stay. There are many things to see in the... More

The cottage was smaller than an average hotel room with dark wood walls and small windows with fake stained glass so you could not see out. Felt like I was in a dark wooden box, The bed was wore out and badly sunken in on both sides so I did not sleep well and awoke with a sore back. There... More

Our recent stay was not what we expected from reading the previous reviews, we found the cabin to be outdated and not up to our standards. The Blue Ridge Parkway was fogged in and was dangerous to drive so we elected not to drive it and visited some of the small towns in the area.

Loved the views from our charming quaint cabin...best deal in Little Switzerland for sure. Price for your stay includes a moderate dinner and yummy breakfast. The owner lives on the property and enjoys mingling with guest. We are celebrating our 11th year anniversary and decided to drive The Blue Ridge Parkway. Along the way someone suggested we stop in Little... More

Visited the last two years both times in June. The first time (2011) was by accident based on trial and error for the Spruce-Pine/ Little Switzerland area. The last time was no accident. Great place and certainly a refreshing change for those of us from out of state. The rooms are "quaint" but clean and well maintained - basic but... More
