I stayed at the Inn at Blue Ridge on two separate occasions in the fall of 2011. I was in Marion on business and stayed three nights each time. I stayed in both a traditional hotel room (clean, quiet, could use a little updating, but otherwise perfect) with fireplace and in the larger "apartment" style suite (which is extremely nice,... Not sure if there is any heat in the hotel other than the fireplace, for which you need to purchase a log. The breakfast was continental, nothing home made - just cereal put into small baggie size portions. This is NOT what I expect of a B&B, even at that I do expect a little heat when it gets cold... Stayed at the Inn at Blue Ridge in July 2012 with the plans to do some hiking around Mount Mitchell. I was booked in the "Wood Anemone" room on the 2nd floor. Check-in was no problems and friendly. The woman took us up to the room and showed us in and made sure we had everything we needed. A very... More

We stayed here for 2 nights in July and it was sort of a last minute reservation because of the highland games it was hard to find places to stay. I didn't mind being here. The rooms were a little dated but you know, it's the mountains so who cares. The rooms all have a fireplace which would've been handy... More

Sometimes when you don't plan, things turn out just right. My husband and I traveled up through Boone, Banner Elk and Marion one weekend and had absolutely no plans to stay anywhere. The last minute, we decided to stay and called a few hotels. They were ALL overpriced because there was a huge bike race going on. We decided to... More

My children and I spent Easter weekend at the Inn at Blue Ridge while visiting family and friends. Jan and Charlie are excellent hosts. Jan checked us in and then showed us to our room. Everything was thoroughly explained. Each morning Jan and Charlie was there to greet you during breakfast. They were extremely personable and friendly. They went out... More

My husband and I just returned from an overnight stay at the Inn at Blue Ridge. We booked here based on the rave reviews on Trip Advisor. The reviews are accurate. Jan and Charlie are gracious hosts. Charlie showed us to our room and explained how the tv remote worked. The breakfast had fresh fruit, yogurt, a variety of cereal,... More

We enjoyed the large room, fireplace, quiet setting by the golf course. The patio overlooking the brook was an extra bonus to enjoy. Gracious owners/hosts.

This was just a delightful place to stay. We were only going to stay one night, but after experiencing the place we decided to stay for two more nights. Charlie and Jan are exceptional owners/hosts. Charlie shows you to the room and explains everything you need to know. Each morning we had a great continental breakfast that was so much... More

We stayed for 2 nights in a King room. The inn is very clean and comfortable in a peaceful location (great view out the back of the river and golf course!). Lots of "old fashioned" hospitality. Charlie showed us to the room including how to work the sallelite TV, which we really appreciated. Breakfast was plentiful - we enjoyed talking... More
