My wife, daughter and I stayed at the La Quinta Inn and Suites at Raleigh Aerial Center & Parkway in mid-Aug. 2009. The hotel located across I-40 from RDU, but it only took minutes to make it to the airport. The check in staff was friendly and helpful. i've stayed here on several occasions as a stop of last resort in the past, as other hotels close to the airport fill up quickly. rooms are very small, and while they've redone some of them, there is a general mustiness in the overall hotel, particularly on the first floor, that you cannot escape. health club is a small room... more

Learned my lesson from my last airport stop over and booked a hotel for the night. Called the hotel from the free airport phone and the shuttle arrived within 10 minutes.
