“Secret treasure of a camping site”

This place was a dream come true. We didn't make reservations and all the state campsites were full. When we pulled up to island hide-away, one of the owners welcomed us with genuine kindness. 1st of all this campground is on Hatteras Island in Buxton, excellent location, quiet & secluded. It's in the owners backyard on about 3 acres. Mostly seasonally folks but room for some in & out folks like us, we're here for 10 days. There r no amenities except showers, which we use our own. Nicely kept grounds, owner around &... More
