Room was beautiful and the bed was amazing. Perfect location. The breakfast was outstanding with a choice of about 15 different delicious, made to order dishes. The front parlor always had a lovely sherry and delicious treats. We were so impressed and Camille is the best! Love this place.

I usually no longer stay in B&Bs because I've had such mixed experiences. However, after reading reviews I decided to give this one a try. I am so glad I did. The house and rooms are tastefully done, and are accurately depicted in the pictures. The star of the show however are the wonderful breakfasts (you choice from over a dozen options). The location is an easy walking distance to most points, and if you sit on the porch you can people watch. Tasteful snack and beverage provided was another bonus. The owner was friendly, and helpful with suggestions and knowledge of additional sights of interest and dinner.

Immaculately clean and kept up. There is sherry and delicious spice cake in the evening as well as complimentary bottled water. The breakfast is out of this world. It’s extremely quiet and low key as you’d expect at a B&B and no tv in the room.

My husband & I enjoyed a delightful two nights at this “gem of a bed & breakfast”! Owner Camille was a delightful host, sharing information about New Bern & the surrounding area. Her seafood recommendation for dinner at MJ’s in downtown was spot on! She also suggested The Grocery Store restaurant in Beaufort, for lunch. It too was a great meal! Camille’s breakfast(s) were fabulous! A varied list to choose from. Antique decor of Hanna House is a step back in time with so many lovely pieces to view from the extensive Cranberry glassware to the period furnishings. Thank-you Camille!

We found this gem a year ago after moving to NC and it is now our only place to stay in New Bern. The hosts are so kind and the beautifully restored home is always so clean and inviting from the minute you walk in. The breakfast is beyond comparison with so many choices and any choice is absolutely delicious. This is the highlight of our stay always in the area. The owners truly care about their guests and you can tell the love of hospitality they have. We travel often and have stayed at many other B&Bs, leave the hotels and others behind and stay at this gem and you will hopefully have the experience we have had enjoying wonderful conversations, a feeling of friendship and a five star breakfast. Highly recommend for your next visit to the area.

We enjoy a quaint vintage style of B&B when we travel. Hanna House did not disappoint us. From the moment that we walked into the Hanna House we were taken back in time to a more relaxed era in our country's history. The house was decorated very nicely and tastefully in a style that matched its age. It provided guests ample opportunity to sit down and get to know one another. We were pleased to have access to wireless and Keurig coffee. However, the highlight was the breakfasts. There were very many menu choices. Each and every one of them held true to the mantra of good old Southern Style cooking. Choosing between them was a difficult decision. However, no matter what, one would not be disappointed with any choice. The fresh squeezed orange juice was a bonus. The Hanna House is located in a spot that it convient to all of the sites, shops and restaurants. A wonderful stay indeed.

We are hoping to move to New Bern this year and chose Hanna House (if I'm honest) because of the menu!
We spent four nights in the German Mill Room (that's the one with the amazing bath). In this Covid era, it felt quite nerve wracking before we arrived as we are both retired and therefore in the 'at risk' group. We need not have worried. Camille wore a mask or kept a good distance when we talked with her and Joe kept his distance too.
What a lovely home!!! Wow - beautiful and sympathetically decorated/restored. Felt very much at home and the breakfasts......well......they were everything they promised! Beautiful fresh cooked food. Most things home made - bread, jam, their own honey, cakes etc. You really do not need to eat much at all during the day. We had freshly squeezed orange juice and there was a fruit 'starter' before breakfast each day - warm peaches with apple, nut and cinnamon filling, warmed plums with a yummy sauce and melon, mango and blueberry mix. Afternoon glass of sherry with cake was a real treat. The whole place had a European vibe. Just wonderful.
As we were checking neighborhoods out, Camille could not have been more helpful. Thank you so very much.

Camille is the best hostess one could ask for. Everything is so well thought out. The house is clean and you feel you’re visiting loving family, but you’re also allowed all the privacy you desire. We enjoyed chatting with the other guests at breakfast each morning, but we never felt intruded upon. The breakfast table seats six and there are two smaller tables that comfortably fit two each. Coffee is delicious and plentiful. Food is amazing. You are asked to select from a pretty expansive menu for breakfast. The food was definitely a highlight. Camille even bakes fresh treats and placed them each day in the parlor for you to take as a snack. There is evening sherry as well. There are no TVs in the rooms, but there is a comfortable parlor where my husband watched the basketball game while I had an in-room massage. We also watched a movie the next evening downstairs. No TV was nice, but access to one for the game snd a movie was perfect. The location is perfect. It’s a short walk to everything. You’re literally two blocks from just about everything. We walked to the farmers market, some antique stores, boutiques, so many restaurants. Just a block and a half or so to the waterfront walk. I highly recommend staying at Hannah House. I can’t wait to come again and am considering giving our son and daughter gift certificates to come for a weekend. Get the in-room massage ($90 plus tip) when we got it. Michelle was so good. You’ll thank me later!!

Located conveniently in the heart of New Bern, the Hanna House is a delightful place to spend a few days. Their attention to detail was exemplary with clean rooms, fresh towels daily, drinks and snacks in the sitting room, and a breakfast menu to rival your favorite cafe. Stay an extra day or two to try something new; the chef doesn't disappoint!

We stayed here for one night and loved it! We stayed in the Licoln room and it was a gem. Wonderful samplers done by young women and girls at least one hundred years ago, framed on the walls, a modern bathroom with a good shower, that was easy to use, and the bed was so comfortable I slept the best night sleep I had had in years. The sheets were luxuriusly soft too. Everything was very clean and in perfect condition. The breakfast was especially great since we needed one to be low sodium and the hosts prepared it that way, no problem. Food was truly delicious with a wide selection of entrees, which is unusual for a B and B. The house is located on Pollard Street which is in walking distance of the main part of town and of the water. We would definately stay here again, hopefully for more than one night next time!
