My wife and I booked a room at the Days Inn for a two night stay this week. Unfortunately our stay lasted less than an hour. If first impressions mean everything, then we shouldn't have even went in. The hotel is in a horrible area of New Bern. There is a bail bondsmen directly across the street and a wonderful... more

The hotel may not be in the best location but the people there are great. They were always very friendly and helpful with whatever we needed. The food is good and the price is excellent compared to other locations. more

The hotel looks like it was remodeled to some point, but still looked runned down and dirty in the hallways and rooms..Front lobby looked nice though, but once you go up the elevator into the hallways and rooms didn't seem like it was worth what I was charged for. more

As a business traveler I have spent many nights in hotels in New Bern. An unexpected stay on a busy weekend had me scrambling for an alternate hotel (I usually stay at the Hampton Inn) and I booked at the Days. I arrived late (10 pm) and was shocked. I actually thought about driving home and returning for work the... more

DON'T DO IT! We booked a room here by phone with hotels.com (and unfortunately did not have the benefit of access to the reviews...I wish they had warned us). When we arrived we were appalled! The property is in disrepair. Everything about the hotel - inside and out - is dirty. The rooms smelled like mold and smoke. My husband... more

I've stayed in a variety of hotels from concrete cinder block to luxury villas, and this hotel was not quite the worst place I've ever stayed, but almost. Upon checking in, I was required to initial that I would be charged $3/day for a safe in my room. If I did not use it, I could request, upon checkout, that... more

Pretty much everything awful about this hotel has already been said. Definitely stay far far away unless you have a very tight budget and/or simply need a place to sleep for the night. The first thing I noticed on entering through the hotel's back entrance: the atrocious pool with mold and mildewy stuff clumping on the surface of the water.... more

This is worst Days Inn I have ever stayed in life. They had none of the accomodation they claimed to have such as a pool, wireless internet access in each room and a mini-refrigerator. There continental was a joke. They change the time of the continental breakfast from 6a-10am to 6am-9am without out notice. They also claimed to run out... more

My daughter and I picked this location because it was close to the airport in New Bern. The hotel as others have noted is in a bad section of New Bern. My daughter called it the "Project area". The check in went smoothly until the clerk wanted to know my cars location and asked me to move it closer to... more

Management response from
Bosothello, General Manager/Owner

Thank you for all your comments on your past visits to this Hotel. As the New Management, we agree with your concerns and have begun to renovate this Days Inn into a Days Hotel. The entire first floor, including the Guest Reception Area (Lobby) has been completely renovated complete with marble floors, beautiful rich mahogany and new elevators! Later this...

My husband and I stay in Days Inn hotels because of their convenient pet policy...we love to travel with our dog and the Days Inn is one of the only hotels that still allow pets. This being said, we have stayed in numerous Days Inns and never had any problems... The Days Inn in New Bern is located in "Historic... more
