This was the first year we have stayed at Ocean Isle, and the first year we have stayed at the Islander Inn. The staff was very helpful, answered all our questions, and seem concerned with our comfort. We had a blast here when my husband and I went in September of 2009. The rates were awesome (i got around $105 a night for ocean front w/ balcony!) and the room was clean and neat. A great value. Simple. Right on the beach. We had an Oceanside room on the first floor. All the rooms on the ocean side directly face the beach, with great views from the balcony. Quiet beaches, pristine flat smooth sand, warm water and you can walk out into the Atlantic 100 feet and still have your head above water. Location is gorgeous. View from Oceanfront rooms is amazing. We were treated very badly last year (June 08) by the OLD management and staff. Justin Harkey (NEW management since Oct 09) has cleaned house completely, both staff wise and room wise, and this is now THE place to stay on O'Isle Beach.
