We stayed for several days at the Anchorage Inn with our pet. We had a great stay. The only suggestion I have is to further enforce the pick up after your pet policy. Other than that the room was clean and the location was wonderful. The staff was helpful and friendly. more

We have never stayed at the Anchorage before but this trip we needed dog friendly hotel. Anchorage was fairly priced and was extremely clean (being a pet room, we were happy to smell the obvious bleach!) The room was on the smaller side and the furnishings could really use some updating. From the shared balcony of our third floor room, there were amazing views across the harbor, including the Ocracoke Lighthouse. The location was very convenient to most things in the village. The Anchorage has a great view from the balconies of the harbor and big sailboats docked right across the street where Austin Boat Tours is also. If you don't mind the drunks from the bar across the street stumbling in late at night and you are the heavy duty party type that's fine too I guess. But for being one... more

The location was great and we really enjoyed listening to the music right across the street on Saturday night. There is no private balcony and the furniture in the room was old, although everything was clean. The pool seemed to attract groups of drinkers, rather than children or those who wanted to exercise.
