If you’re looking for a fun golf weekend in the Sandhills area, the Greenleafe Inn is a solid choice. I like to get a foursome together and arrive at the place on Friday night. We then play a round on Saturday at the Bluff Golf Links which is the course that adjoins the Greenleafe Inn. This is the perfect “warm-up” course – fun and casual. We then pop over to the Pinehurst area to play another 18 at a challenging course – usually Little River, but sometimes Pinehurst #2 if we’re feeling up to it. Then, Sunday, we play again at the Bluff or sometimes Seven Lakes or Beacon Hill.

The Greenleafe Inn has lots of weekend golfers, so they are pretty cool about holding your bags or later check-outs. After our third round on Sunday and lunch, we still have time to get back to DC by dinner.
