Not thrilled with this hotel like I expected especially for the price. Arrived at 3:30 to check in and had to wait 45 minutes on line. Got to the room threw our stuff down and ran out we almost missed our bus for the U2 concert. Got back after the concert STARVING and went to the "lounge/restaurant" for some food/drinks.... more

It was my boyfriend's first visit to Raleigh. We stayed on the 16th floor and the view was amazing! I've never seen my city look so beautiful at night. The room was clean and spacious. At 3am it was a bit noisy due to a fashion show. It is inexpensive and you are in a great location. I plan to... more

If you need to be downtown, this is a good place. The price is reasonable, it is two blocks from the capital building and museums, and farther from the more run down part of town near the convention center. The rooms were complete, free internet and parking. They were clean, quiet, and comfortable. There was a restaurant on the top... more

Hotel is great for the price, rooms are clean and airy, bathrooms are small, free parking was a plus, Loved the location, it's about a 3 min walk to Glenwood St where all the bars, restaurants and clubs are. And about a 5 min walk to downtown, Fayeteville St. Loved the free bus that you can hop on and off... more

Oh wow where do I start. My husband and I were staying at the Clarion on 10/2/2009 to see Daniel Tosh, though the show was rescheduled we still went for a weekend get away from our 4 kids. Check in was alright, the room was small, the pillows on the bed were too small and bed left you with a... more

My wife and I stayed at the Clarion in downtown Raleigh for a family wedding. The location is fairly good for the capitol area but overall, the hotel is extremely average. The exterior of the building is very dated and sticks out against the Raleigh skyline like a sore thumb. The lobby is at least clean and bright and the... more

I stayed at the Clarion State Capital just last night. I had booked a room, as I had an early speaking engagement this morning, and didn't want to drive two hours that early in the morning. I should have stayed home. The room itself was average hotel decor. I was alarmed when I pulled back the cover on one bed,... more

Raleigh, the state capital of North Carolina is not exactly a beautiful city, but the Clarion is well situated for what there is. It is in the centre of the city, just minutes from the capital building and downtown attractions such as the convention centre. The hotel consists of a circular tower on top of a car park. It has... more

My overall stay at the Clarion was a good one. The best thing about the hotel is the location- you can walk to everything! The Clarion is close to the State Capitol, museums, restaurants, bars and lounges. The farthest we had to walk was to Pullen Park- maybe a 30min walk at a slow, relaxed pace. I found the hotel... more

Clarion Hotel in Raleigh, NC worked out great! I stayed there for 3 nights with my mom and sister, and though we weren't there alot (we were sight-seeing), when we were there it was enjoyable. The breakfast buffet is good, but nothing to brag about. But the view is spectacular! Even if you don't eat at the Top of the... more
