From the hello to the goodbye we felt very welcome. Excellent communication before our stay and the understanding of our situation was very appreciated. The room and bathroom was very clean. It was good to finally visit somewhere that thought about the layout of the room and have a socket next to a mirror this is always a bugbear of... More

Top quality, well cooked English Breakfast (vegetarian option too) plus a very generous selection of cereals, meusli, fruit compote, yoghurt, fruit juices, home made bread, jams, marmalade etc. all served up by friendly non-overbearing owners in a cared for and cosy bed & breakfast. I would certainly come back.

All 3 generations were happy with this excellent b&b from the very start with a welcoming tray of refreshments, fresh, inviting rooms, and books, dvds and games for the children. Breakfast offered plenty of choice including home-baked bread! I feel we couldn't have been better looked-after.

We spent 2 nights at this delightful B&B and we were made to feel completey welcome by the hosts, David & Pippa. The rooms were clean, spacious and each had its own character. Even Bonnie the woofit came out for a welcome! We welcomed the tea when we arrived which we had in our own lounge area. There is even... More

A two night stay was welcoming and refreshing. Breakfast is relaxed and prepared fresh to order. The bedrooms are attractive and clean with en-suite and there is a lounge available to use as you wish. Two excellent pubs for other meals and a choice of good beaches within minutes. My fiancée and I stayed for two nights Friday/Saturday whilst we were visiting North Devon for a friend's wedding whom had a website about their wedding day with a list of nearby bed and breakfast venues. I chose The Old Bakery because it was not only the closest to the wedding venue but I was also attracted by the photos,... More

We stayed at The Old Bakery for two nights and would not hesitate to recommend it. The room and bathroom were decorated beautifully - no chintz to be seen! - and the owner was tremendously friendly and helpful from the off. Stones throw away from two good pubs and a 5 min drive to the nearest beach. Great value for... More
