Gizzy was a great host - really welcoming and as others have said, made staying there feel just like being at home. The fried breakfast was a great start to an active day and the room clean and tidy - a great base for a weekend's surfing.

Gizzy made us feel so welcome despite arriving a lot later that we planned. It was no problem. The room was clean and tidy. We were able to use it was as base to explore the rest of croyde. Breakfast was lovely and plentiful. There was also an endless supply of coffee!

My boyfriend and I have stayed at Thistledoo on two occasions now (one of them for my birthday!) and have loved it both times! Gizzy is a perfect hostess and the whole family are lovely and welcoming!! Breakfast is very filling and the perfect start to a days chilly surfing! We will definitely be going back again soon!!

Thistledoo was a clean and comfortable B&B with a homely warm vibe to it.
