Goymarr Tourist Park is in the mid of nowhere and it is the only hotel after about 200 kms almost in the wild. The price was very high, the highest in the Kakadu park and there is absolutely nothing there. We had a room for 5 persons and there wa sonly one mug, 1 spoon, a microwave but no plates,... More

We stayed here at a caravan site for a couple of nights and used it as a base to visit Gunlom Falls. The road to Gunlom was quite bad and rough for a van so we were glad to leave the van at Goymarr. The location is good for accessing Southern Kakadu. The park is pretty basic but the facilities... More

We arrived just after 5:30pm on a Saturday and had to seek out the owner/person running the premises. We were told our room was already unlocked and the key was inside (in a tone that implied we should have known this already) and were then shunned away. It also appeared to be quite an effort for them to sell us... More

This is a really good value literally on the southern doorstep of Kakadu, and much cheaper than any accommodation inside the park. We’d spent 1 night in Jabiru (which was lovely, but you paid for it) and then our next night here. As the previous reviewer said it’s the closest accommodation to Gunlom Falls, which are so beautiful. We arrived... More

Stayed with wife and two kids 10 & 12 in Sunrise cabin. An oversized screened one room kitchen/bedroom /lounge cabin. Basic but most comfortanle, perfect getaway. The Secret swiming hole near by was the best way to begin and end the day. Great access to many other natural attractions. I am going again.

Small but comfortable budget motel room had everything we needed except.... the air conditioner sounded like a truck each time it came on in the night. Other guests complained of the same in their room. A terrible night's sleep was had by all. Should be good value for money but check the noise problem has been fixed before booking.

thanks for your comments and bringing the noisy air conditioners to our notice, we have had the aircons in all the motel rooms relocated from the walls to the ground which has decreased the noise levels hugely. We hope you will come back and stay with us again, we are confident you will have a peaceful sleep. More

The Mary River Road house is a great location, 5 mins drive from the entrance to Kakadu. Facilities are clean and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The pool is great to relax by after a hard days spinifex walk. The best part about this place is it is run by the traditional owners who are passionate about their... More

Spent three days exploring Gunlom Falls, Kooplin Gorge, Ferny Gully and a number of other spots from this Caravan Park. No mozzies like the top parts of Kakadu. Good food (if you like big burgers etc). You need to ask the locals where the best unpromoted spots are.

The motel is very clean and comfortable and the pool and BBQ area are great. Located right on the edge of the southern gate to Kakadu makes it a great base to explore the park. The home made pies were delicious!

I had a recent weekend getaway to Kakadu with my girlfriend and stayed at Goymarr Tourist Park. It used to be Mary River Roadhouse, but they have done a fair bit of work to it and there are some comfortable motel rooms if you are like me and dont like tenting it in high humidity. Goymarr is the closest accommodation... More
